The odds of a quick market are live. When we cannot price a bet fairly, the card pauses betting instead of selling at a stale price.

What the card says

"Paused — waiting for a price update": there is no market price for this window right now, or the price we have is more than 10 seconds old.
"The price is updating — odds are paused": our own price feed, which decides the result, has not updated for a moment.
"This outcome is all but decided": the side would cost more than 99% and is not offered; the other side may still be open.
"This window is near its limit": the window has a risk limit, so one side may accept only a smaller stake for now, or none. The other side and the next window are not affected.
“Paused: too little market depth for this window right now.”: there are too few market orders near the best price (less than $100 on a side), so the price would be easy to push.
“Paused: the price just moved sharply, waiting for a price update.”: our price moved more than 0.15% since the last market price update; betting resumes once the market price catches up.
“Paused: the price is right at the price to beat, too close to call for now.”: while the price is within 0.05% of the window's open price, the market's starting price and ours can disagree about which side is ahead, so betting waits until the price moves away.
“Betting is paused for now.”: the platform has paused fixed-odds betting for a while. Windows already running settle as usual.

What to do

Usually it is enough to wait a few seconds: betting resumes on its own as soon as a fresh price arrives. Bets already placed are not affected: they keep their odds.

If it lasts

If a window stays paused for a long time, try the next window or another coin, and write to support if it does not pass.
